Tar turk Bendir englisch
I specialize on the Turkish Bendir and the Tar frame drum. Both models have a shallower frame depth in contrast to the Eckermann Mizhar series. These kinds of hand drums can be found in many cultures around the world, with different names depending on the region.
The Turkish Bendir model is fitted with a soft and warm skin, suitable for Ottoman and contemporary classical "Sanat" music. The right amount of depth and sensitivity, with a clear and tranquil resonance.
The Tar drum, as it is commonly referred to in the Arabic / Maghreb regions, has a more hard and cutting articulation, suitable for situations requiring clarity and precision.
The integrated Resonator for sound purification and articulation is the attestation for the unique quality of these types of Eckermann frame drums. Please observe my recommendations for different frame diameters in the technical descriptions listed below.
